Cost Reduction with Custom Tooling for High-Frequency Transformers

A new transformer model is currently in production at Fortek. This design uses a plain PCB board with holes only, and the pins and wires need to be fixed securely with epoxy during assembly.

For this type of structure, controlling the epoxy filling process can be challenging and time-consuming. To improve the production method, we designed a custom base for this model to help position and support the pins and wires more effectively.

With this base design, the assembly process becomes more stable and efficient. It helps reduce the labor time required for epoxy filling, supports better control of the required epoxy amount, and reduces unnecessary epoxy usage during production.

At Fortek, we continue to develop practical manufacturing solutions for different product structures and customer requirements. From custom tooling to process improvement, our team works to support efficient and reliable transformer manufacturing.
